CALL 112 NOW
Call 112 immediately. Apply a tourniquet as high up the limb as possible, at least 5 cm above the wound. Write down the time you applied it and do not release the tourniquet until the emergency services are there.
Do this
• Call 112 immediately
• Apply a tourniquet, or improvise with a belt, as high up the limb as possible
• Write down the time the tourniquet was applied
• Keep the casualty warm and lying down
• Give nothing to eat or drink
Warning signs
• Spurting blood (arterial)
• The casualty becomes unconscious
• Pale, cold or bluish skin
• Blood soaking through the dressing within 2 minutes
Call 112 as soon as you can.
