definition: Enthymeme

The book mentions Enthymemes, but I had to go to Wikipedia for a good description. It's a kind of logical syllogism used in rhetoric where you leave out a piece. Wikipedia uses the following example:

|   The complete formal syllogism would be the classic:
|       All humans are mortal. (major premise -- unstated)
|       Socrates is human. (minor premise -- stated)
|       Therefore, Socrates is mortal. (conclusion -- stated)
