endothelial cells oxidize LDL bound to lineoleic acid
Quote from BMJ OpenHeart Study on Omega-6 vegetable oils source:
│ Endothelial cells oxidise LDL forming linoleic acid hydroperoxides.
So the linoleic acid bound to the LDL is oxidized by the endothelial cells, not the combination of linoleic acid and LDL. But linoleic acid bound to LDL makes for easier oxidation of the LDL.
