Dairy Denial and Complexities of Diet pt 2

I originally had a note titled Dairy Denial and Complexities of Diet where I described experiencing gout. It was no coincidence it was in a note that also mentioned dairy.

I went quite a while without dairy and I didn't have any issues with pork or fish. It turns out that if I have heavy cream or milk and I've had any amount of pork or fish in the last day or so, I start to get symptoms of gout in my feet. It clears up with blueberries -- provided I don't consume them with any cream.

Curiously, cheese seems okay. I also haven't had any signs of the bone pains that I described in the other note. Not sure about sour cream or yogurt. I don't often consume those, either.

So while the occasional ice cream dessert is a somewhat tenuous affair, at least I can make pizza from pork sausage, cheese, pepperoni, and mushroom toppings. That's pretty cool. The crust is made from the sausage and then the rest is tossed on top after the sausage has cooked. Pepperoni and sausage are the most heavily processed foods I consume (next to bacon). I don't consume them too often, though.
