"Civilized Humans" have been around for about 5000 to 6000 year. When I say Civilized I mean humans that have had complex societies, agriculture, and writing are ancestry goes back much further. In this time we have built up a historical record that is rich with information that could lead us to a bright and beautiful future, yet we continue to ignore our past and repeat it time after time. The reason I put Civilized Humans in quotes is because I really don't know that we have become civilized continuing to give into a very primitive way of thinking. Yes we have computers and AI, cars, phone and planes but these don't make us civilized they are just improvements on tools that we already have for the most part. Through out our recorded history there is a pattern or cycle that permeates not only our existence but life and time itself known as the cycle. Everything has a beginning and an end including days, life, society and even technology. It all starts out as a need that begins the cycle as a seed, this seed grows and changes until it hits a pinnacle where it will decline, rot and eventually die out giving way to something new in its place. Many civilizations have come and gone, a lot starting as need, some to flee from oppression or lack of resources to start a new life. Many of these new beginnings tend to grow given the right opportunities and even prosper into a wealthy an culturally rich society. With ever increasing power comes the threat of corruption, our primitive ways still drive our decisions even if it threatens our very existence. What is good for the people isn't always the path we walk, those humble beginning lose their way to conquering instead collaborating. Empires rise from good intentions and eventually become the very reason that drove its existence in the first place. With every beginning comes an ending just look to history and see the great Roman and British empires as examples. Eventually they flew to close to the sun and perished in their ambitions, stretched too thin to support its own weight it eventually crumbles.

Like all things in existence this too will pass and fade into history along with the good, the bad and the ugly. It's just sad that we don't pay attention to history and learn anything from what has happened, because we are to focused on the power we hunger for. In the end the power will mean nothing.
