Human(oid)-authored shitpost I thought up in the shower:

You may have survived Random Chimp Event. But will you survive Random Chimp Event II?

(Yes, chimps are apes, but not all apes are chimpanzees - "apes" as a category also includes humans, gorillas, and orangutans. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hominidae) So, for the sake of my argument, I am going to use the term "chimp" rather loosely.)

Think about it. Random Chimp Event (https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/random-chimp-event) turned out to be the NFT craze. One of the most infamous lines of NFTs was literally named Bored Ape Yacht Club. Justin Bieber reportedly spent a little under a million and a half dollars on one. (https://archive.md/https://www.the-independent.com/tech/nfts-crypto-currency-what-happened-b2886632.html) Bored Apes were just randomly generated JPEGs of apes.

Random Chimp Event II is (or will be) the AI bubble. Have you ever heard the phrase about, if you give enough monkeys enough typewriters and enough time, one of them will eventually produce Shakespeare's plays? Well, AI companies think, if you give enough computers enough GPUs and enough data, they will produce human (or superhuman) intelligence. What did you think GPU stood for? Graphics Processing Unit? Don't be daft. It clearly stands for Gorilla, Primate, orangUtan. The tech companies are literally spelling out to us the upcoming Chimpocalypse, and none of us are listening.

Where will you be during Random Chimp Event II?
