ROOGLE โ Reticulum Search Engine
About
ROOGLE is a search engine for the NomadNet corner of
Reticulum. It is itself served as a NomadNet node, so
you are reading it over the same network it indexes.
How discovery works
ROOGLE listens for node announces โ the periodic
self-introductions every NomadNet node broadcasts.
Every node heard is indexed, probed and crawled.
There is no submit form and no opt-out: public pages
are public.
Probing and crawling
ยท Probe: a link is established to each known node
to measure reachability and speed. Healthy nodes are
re-probed about hourly; quiet ones are backed off
gently, up to weekly.
ยท Crawl: reachable nodes have their pages fetched
from /page/index.mu, following on-node links a few
levels deep, into the full-text index. Re-crawled
about daily; skipped early if the front page has
not changed.
Metrics
Per node: uptime (24h/7d/30d), probe RTT, announces
heard, pages indexed, crawl status. Site-wide visit
counts come from our own analytics โ no visitor
tracking, aggregate numbers only.
