How listing works
Beacon finds pages from the mesh's announce stream: announce your node and serve at least one linkable page, and it gets crawled and indexed. Pages are recrawled periodically to stay fresh.
When a node stops being listed
If Beacon can't reach a node for more than 7 days, its pages are hidden from results. This is on purpose: a search result you click and can't open is worse than no result. It is NOT a ranking penalty and NOT permanent.
Getting re-listed
Just bring the node back online. The next successful crawl re-lists all its pages automatically. There is nothing to request and no allow-list to be added to.
Privacy
Beacon only indexes pages your node already serves publicly over the mesh. This status check reads crawl facts for the hash you enter; it stores nothing about you.
