When i was a kid and saw movies and read books about time travel i became interested in the possibilities to change events. This interest lasted for many years. When i was older i came across the concept of parallel universes in movies and TV shows. The idea that there could be infinite universes (multiverse) with infinite possibilities intrigued me. The multiverse idea stems from Hugh Everett III's interpretation of the results of the double-slit experiment. His idea was that the universal wavefunction does not collapse meaning that all outcomes are realized. In the double-slit experiment scientists fire single photons (light particles) one by one through two slits. If they are not observed/measured before they go through a slit it looks like though they interfere with each other and go through both slits, which forms an interference pattern on the detector. However when observed/measured before they go through the slit the wave collapses into one point so that there will be no interference pattern. So if not observed they behave like a wave and if observed they will behave like particles.

While there is currently no proven scientific method, vehicle, or technology that allows a person to physically travel or jump into a parallel universe, there is at least the way to make choices and do things that lead you closer to your desired parallel universe. This method is smooth. The movie "Everything Everywhere All at Once" depicts how someone can get to the outer edge of their local cluster of parallel universes. Namely by doing improbable things. You don't need technology to get to the outer cluster but if we had this technology we could use it to get to the desired parallel universe.
