Adverts on Github

I notice that Github have now started shoving adverts into pull requests. Maybe. Or maybe they were added and then later yanked. Who knows?

Fucking about in production is just what Microsoft does, and I totally expect them to do shitty stuff, because otherwise they wouldn't be on form. Maximally fucking over the end user while clawing in every last penny is what Microsoft has done for decades. So much so, that I stopped using Windows at the end of the 2000s.

I'll remain on Github for now. There's no need to be hasty, especially when whoever is in charge of Github seems to change their mind frequently. But I don't depend on Github. That's the critical part. If Github fully nukes itself in a gory splatterfest of moronic business decisions then that will be no sweat to me, and I'll just carry on uploading to wherever is still available. Unlike many other maintainers of source code, I am not precious about where it resides, and it's better that it reside in multiple places for redundancy.
