Right now I'm busy helping to build out the Cape Town MeshCore network by adding more repeater nodes on various strategic high site locations on mountains around Cape Town. HAMNET is providing the solar powered nodes as well as access to many of these sites.

I have also created a comprehensive guide at MeshCore in South Africa to explain what it is about, what config settings to use, as well as many tips picked up so far.

We have around 150 - 160 nodes in total, including repeater nodes, as at August 2026.
