mew wishes it was winter, already

living in sweden during summer is interesting

we are more northern than most places in the world, so it is not unberably hot

but....

it is so bright.

the sun never really goes down.

.... looking it up, it looks like theres only about a month left of this hell

regardless.. mew misses the dark

nights feel wrong when you can look out the window, and from looking outside, you assume it is midday.

mew may have the buff of " above average night vision " ( hooray for being a cat ), but..

when mew was visiting germany last month, it was actually dark at night. it would turn to 10pm and the outside would be pitch black. as it is supposed to be.

winter in sweden is special

it is so, so dark

in december, we have a whole 6 hours of daylight

in the morning, it is dark

in the evening, it is dark

what lights up the outside is the snow

the pretty white snow

even at midnight, if there is snow, you can go outside and somehow see the world so clearly

despite how dark everything is

and indoors, everything is cozy. the windows are dark, maybe you can see snow falling..

and everything is so, so quiet

mew misses the quiet

mew misses the cold

mew misses going on long walks in forests in winter

because it is so quiet and comfortable

it feels like they are only months the world likes having mew around

.... maybe that is something wrong on mews part

a discussion about how mew is autistic and how winter is better for mews sensory systems could be placed here, or something about how mews body temperature regulation is strange.... but that is really, really boring

mew would rather just dream about seeing snowflakes fall for the first time this winter

even though winter is still another 3-4 months away

let a mothcat dream....

it wishes it could snow whenever it wanted

holy shit skincare is stupid

mews been buying expensive skincare because mews face has been having a billion annoying bumps and red spots for the past MONTHS

and they just REFUSE to go away no matter what

friend tells mew " hm. mothmoon. try ditching skincare. and moisturizer. and everything other than just washing mews face with water every evening. it might work "

it was worse for like a week but AAAA mews face is soft again

yay mew will now gush about mewself and use mewself as a fidget toy until that inevitably causes 800 acne outbreaks

( so far so good . somehow )

oh bonus advice that seems to work while we're at it

- this also SEEMS to apply to the rest of the body, too. although maybe still use sunscreen in summer, and maybe still moisturize at least a _little_ in winter

- if you're annoyed by having stupid red bumps on your body . try not shaving constantly like mew does. this seems to also help. although it seems to be recovering at a slower rate. mew guesses the ideal things here are to just do longer term hair-removal ( waxing or just lazer/ipl if its actually useful on your skin ( it is completely useless on mews skin ;ww; ) )
