Solar Energy
==============

Today another brick was built for RO_RetNet project.
This actual LoRa node was moved to solar energy entirely.
Also, i've moved this site to the LoRa node, such that now almost all RO_RetNet Craiova is working on 100% solar energy(excluding TCP node and test nodes)

For solar energy i'm using a solar panel that should generate just few W in full sun.
I'm expecting it to not be enough for the node, which consumes around 1.5W, given the fact that i only have few hours of direct sunlight per day.
It'll likely need to be changed, i'll monitor it in the following days.
For storage i've used a 12V 9Ah battery, should be enough to keep the node alive for 2-3 days without sun.
Everything is connected with a MPPT PWM controller from Dedeman, in a IP66 plastic box from Dedeman, and with a fiber glass antena of 3db.

The philosophy is to be resilient when needed, so if there won't be internet or electric power, in case of calamities or down infrastructure, RO_RetNet will be standing strong and keep being usable locally.

May all be without suffering!

This node is hosted on 100% solar energy.
