Today I figured out how to automatically build and deploy this page to the NomadNet instance on my server which acts as a web server whenever I merge a commit to master. That's my first foray into using Forgejo Actions and I am pretty pleased with myself.

I also read about using partials in .mu files on The Nomad Forum (topic 13) and decided to rearrange the page a bit and move the header and footer sections into partials which are then rendered dynamically.

After that, I also decided to move most of the previous content on this landing page into an About page. I figure, there are enough nodes which are just simple "Hello!" nodes on NomadNet, might as well write a blog of some sort.

Yesterday, in between coughs, I finished and published a beginner's guide to getting started with RNS and NomadNet and so on, posted it to Lemmy and on Mastodon and various places here. People liked it, so that's nice.

This is so cool! At some point, I'll have to learn how Nomadnet works and how it compares to HTTP. I'd love to also eventually look into making or finding either a squid/varnish plugin (or any SOCKS server) to make reticulum/lxmf available to non-rns aware clients such as curl. It'd also be cool to get Firefox to work with nomadnet directly via browser extension instead of via rBrowser. This way I would be able to use my feed reader to read RSS/Atom feeds on NN (there's one site experimenting with it atm).
