After the initial burst of energy which comes from learning a Cool New Thing, I hit a bit of a brick wall when it came to Reticulum. It's fun to learn how to install RNS, it's fun to connect to NomadNet, but after a bit you see the same old nodes with little content being announced. It also started to feel a little like a chore to write stuff using Micron - sorry, but I'm used to markdown and while I recognize that micron is useful, it's just not fun to write.

I looked at my meshtastic devices, could I contribute something by extending support to new devices. I mean, no. I am not a hardware guy and I am not (much of) a programmer.

At work - where I work in QA and documentation - everyone's been pushing me to use agentic AI, and while I am as sceptical as the next grumpy old man about the ethical side of AI I've reluctantly been very impressed with what you can accomplish with GPT 5.4 inside VS Code. I mean, I cannot deny that it makes me faster at my work and makes it possible to do things I could not do before.

So I decided to try and improve my own experience with authoring content for NomadNet. The end result is a sort of light-weight CMS system where you write content using markdown, and micron is used for shared layout and rendering, with Python gluing everything together.

I've built it for me, but I've also built it so it's pretty easy to take it and make it your own.

I've added a few of these directives with more to come as I comes across something I need. In a proper system they might be called modules or apps - here I went with directives, for no particular reaon.

Spring has come to Denmark, and i't lovely. I've spent most of the day in the garden digging and moving rocks around. Here are some images from the garden converter to micron using isoWorld's image converter.

There's a directive behind it, but you can include images using regular markdown syntax.
