Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (born 1977) is a Nigerian novelist, essayist, and public intellectual whose work explores identity, feminism, race, migration, and the legacy of colonialism. Born in Enugu and raised in Nsukka, Nigeria, she gained international acclaim with novels such as Purple Hibiscus (2003), Half of a Yellow Sun (2006), Americanah (2013), and Dream Count (2025). Her influential essays, including We Should All Be Feminists and Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions, have made her a leading voice on gender equality and contemporary social issues. Widely translated and the recipient of numerous literary awards, Adichie is regarded as one of the most important writers of her generation.
