The Pastoral Symphony


Set in the late 1890’s, this is the story of a Protestant pastor who lives in the Alps of Switzerland. He stumbles upon a blind girl who has become an orphan since her aunt just died. The aunt was deaf and never spoke, so the blind girl also seemed to be deaf and speechless as well. The pastor feels that God has called him to care for this child, and decides to take her home with him. This causes not only consternation in his household but the unfolding of many other events as well.
