Lagrange 73, unlike WBKNL, is a place without borders. The radio room I find myself in is not a conventional radio room. It is a rectangle all of glass, from which one can see the arm of the galaxy and every planet belonging to this solar system, SOL. The long-distance propagation of Hertzian waves here does not occur through the ionosphere, for there is no ionosphere. The entire atmosphere is permanently ionized, so radio waves can hardly travel long distances. They ricochet a few metres above ground level and behave like those rubber balls children use to throw against the floor. The waves are like rubber balls bouncing endlessly. They strike the floor and the ceiling. Then they strike the walls and the floor, until they finally come to rest in some corner of the room. My only hope of being heard is to wait for one of the radio waves to manage to leap beyond this dimension that seems unique. L73.
I turn the radio on and tune to 4625kHz. Only noise, and a buzzer.
