L73. I’ve told you before that this is the place I chose to take refuge from the planet EARTH. I had no other choice.

The explosions at WBKNL had grown too frequent for me to risk staying. My life would be in danger if I did not decide to board the SOYUZ-UBV76 spacecraft that brought me to the far reaches of this solar system known as SOL.

For days now I have not been able to sleep more than 236 minutes. As many as the steps I take every night to fall asleep. Perhaps tonight I’ll try to walk a little further. Perhaps if I walk 300 steps, I’ll manage to sleep for 300 minutes. Working the numbers out properly, in order to sleep the number of minutes necessary for my sanity, I would have to walk the equivalent in steps — which would take until daybreak.

Here in L73, my radio outpost is cramped. I fit in it along with my radio, plus a folding bed that retracts vertically during daylight hours, which are exactly like the night ones, since the brightness is always the same. There is no antenna at all, because, as I have told you before, there is no propagation of Hertzian waves. I turned the radio on, connected my BEGALI Simplex Mono Morse key, and transmitted: dah-dih-dah-dih dah-dah-dih-dah.
