I’ll use this space to share small thoughts that come to mind from time to time.
To start, I want to talk about Pragmata.
I’ve seen a lot of controversy around it lately. The fact that it features a little robot girl seems to have really divided opinions. Some people think the game has the potential to make people reflect on the idea of family, while others argue that it appeals to a more questionable audience.
I decided to buy the Steam version and try it for myself so I could form my own opinion.
So far, to me, it feels like neither one nor the other, lol.
The game clearly doesn’t try to place the girl in any strange or inappropriate light because of her apparent age, and so far I also haven’t felt any real development in her relationship with the main character that would make me reflect on family. For now, everything still feels fairly mechanical.
Of course, I’ve only just started, but compared to The Last of Us, this game hasn’t pulled me into those feelings nearly as quickly.
As for the game itself, it’s interesting and very enjoyable to play, with a good mix of action sections and small puzzles.
My recommendation: play it before jumping to conclusions.
