J-Trance
J-Trance is speedy trance music created in Japan. It's tied into otaku culture and the songs have a cutesy or happy vibe. This was a series of cutesey speed trance songs initially inspired by the ｳｯｰｳｯｰｳﾏｳﾏ(ﾟ∀ﾟ) (U-U-UmaUma or Caramelldansen) meme which became popular on 4chan and NicoNicoDouga. This is my personal favorite series of trance albums of all time.
Exit Trance Characters
There are many appearances of characters on Exit Trance albums, the most popular being Barusamiko. She was named after a misheard lyric in Caramelldansen in the first line of the chorus "Dansa med oss. Klappa era händer" in swedish but was misheard in Japanese as "バルサミコ酢 (Barusamiko-su), やっぱいらへんで (Yappa irahen de)" meaning "I don't want any balsamic vinegar after all".
