Desktop environments in Linux are fully customizable, allowing you to apply custom themes downloaded off the internet. This page lists my favorites.

The one I currently use. A perfect recreation of the Aero theme on Windows 7. That OS had the best UI, in my opinion. It is very heavy due to the use of extra software like Kvantum and the amount of effects. It is complicated to install as you need to compile it from source.
