2. CALL 911

3. GIVE NALOXONE
lay them on their back
tilt the head back
nozzle into ONE nostril, all the
way in, press the plunger firmly
one device = one full dose
4. BREATHE FOR THEM
tilt the head back, pinch the nose,
seal your mouth over theirs
2 slow breaths, watch the chest rise
then 1 breath every 5 seconds
5. NO RESPONSE IN 2-3 MINUTES?
give another dose in the OTHER
nostril. keep going every 2-3
minutes until they breathe or
help arrives

naloxone wears off in 30-90 minutes.
the opioid can outlast it and they

RECOVERY POSITION
if they are breathing and you must
step away, roll them onto their
side so they cannot choke
