I'm not going to make this site super serious and professional. Typos included, and weird formatting.

I just want to have a free place to write a collection of notes on Islam, Reticulum networking, and other things I've been learning.

I'm coming at this from the perspective of an African-American who was born into the religion. I don't subscribe to any of the cultural

sects of Islam from the Arabs, Sunni or Shia and just try to follow the Qur'an from translations, hadith from the Prophet Muhammad Peace

be upon him. I didn't take it very seriously once I got into my teens and now, young adulthood but since then I've had a few exeriences

online that made me realize that I had been given me something valueable that would have helped me avoid a lot of pain from the online

experiences, romantic relationships and people I've met.

I'll mostly be referencing the english translation of the Qur'an because I don't know Arabic yet.

The specific translation is done by Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran.

Inshallah God willing I will remember to cite if I change translations or not.

I think this Surah is very important.

Surah Al-Fatihah The Opener

1:1 In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

1:2 All praise is for Allah—Lord of all worlds,

1:3 the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

1:4 Master of the Day of Judgment.

1:5 You ˹alone˺ we worship and You ˹alone˺ we ask for help.

1:6 Guide us along the Straight Path,

1:7 the Path of those You have blessed—not those You are displeased with, or those who are astray.

But one of my favorites so far is Surah 106 Quraysh.

Surah 106 Quraysh Quraysh

106:1 ˹At least˺ for ˹the favour of˺ making Quraysh habitually secure—

106:2 secure in their trading caravan ˹to Yemen˺ in the winter and ˹Syria˺ in the summer—

106:3 let them worship the Lord of this ˹Sacred˺ House,

106:4 Who has fed them against hunger and made them secure against fear.
